Background
Tristan Weevers is finishing his MSc in Design for Interaction at the department of Industrial Design Engineering of Delft University of Technology. Tristan started at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences with Industrial Design, where he specialized in User Centred Design. During internships at Atag and Gazelle, he developed products for specific target groups such as elderly and children. His BSc graduation project took place at the Dutch railroad maintainer ProRail, where he developed a Google Earth like interface for easy access to all sorts of information regarding the railroad.
After his Bachelor, Tristan continued his education at the Delft University of Technology. He worked in several teams on interactive installations, interface designs and product designs. His work was rewarded with presentations at the Intel Developers Forum 2009 and as a winner of the Delft’s University Design Challenge in 2010.
It was during his BSc graduation project, when Tristan faced difficulties in method selection himself. The wide range of method collections and various explanations made it difficult to select a method for the new area of interface design that he was working in at the time. This was the starting point for what became his graduation project at Design for Usability: the development of a method selection tool.
This MSc. graduation project has been finished on August 31 and is continued within the Design for Usability project.
