Background

Ilse Luyk - de Visser (1980) is an assistant professor at the Department of Industrial Design of the Eindhoven University of Technology (NL). She obtained a master degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from the Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2008 Ilse received a PhD degree from this same University. As a PhD student she performed her research at the Design Technology Institute (DTI), which is a joint research institute of Eindhoven University of Technology and the Nation University of Singapore. Her research topic was ‘User perceived failure severity in consumer electronics’. In her research she particularly focused on the failure characteristics that cause irritation among users of consumer electronics products.

Involvement

Within this project Ilse will continue her research regarding user (un)acceptance of product quality problems.
