Background

Peter Sonnemans holds a Masters degree in Engineering Science (1988) and a Ph.D. (1992) from Eindhoven University of Technology. After his assignment in applied research in industry as a research scientist he became responsible for improvement of the quality of business processes as an operational project leader in industry. Currently, he is leading a research programme at the faculties of Industrial Design and Technology Management at Eindhoven University of Technology on estimating product quality early in product development and on design for usability, in close collaboration with industrial partners. In this field he has authored and co authored over thirty papers on these subjects. He is also employed as a consultant in the same field for Philips Electronics and connected as a visiting fellow to the National University of Singapore.

Peter Sonnemans is involved in the project as the daily supervisor to the project “Use problems” of Christelle Harkema.
